During week two of my final major project, I started by creating social media pages for the marketing of my game, I created an Instagram under the handle @kessler_game1, an itch.io page ready for the game to be uploaded to it when it’s completed, a Tumblr account and bought a domain for my game www.kesslergame.com
Images of the games Instagram page and Itch.io page - created in week two
Next, I made a thumbnail for the Winchester games site, where all these links will be posted so that anyone can find them with affiliation to the university. (Winchester School of Art, BA Games Design & Art - Projects Site)

Also, this week we had some guests come in to talk us through filmmaking since alongside our games we also must make a documentary to showcase our game in an interview style after hearing this I planned out what I would like to do for my documentary in general notes so that when I come round to designing my game.
- Start – fade into me looking at the camera with the space x website in the background "Space debris is an issue that isn’t addressed in media only certain movies like Gravity"
- Clip from Gravity "deal with this idea but don’t talk about the real issue, the Kessler syndrome"
- Clip of debris gif "This is a theory proposed by a man called Donald j Kessler"
- Image of Donald Kessler "Which states that the more space debris in orbit the more likely a cascade event is to happen where –"
- Back to me in a chair "pieces of debris constantly collide creating more and more smaller pieces of debris creating an end of the world type event where we can't safely leave the planet"
- Clip of space x rocket returning "It's only in recent years that space companies like space x have started to consider the amount of space waste they are producing by producing rockets that can return their stages to earth to be reused"
- Clip of me tinkering with tile map "I wanted to create a game where the world is at this end of world event and pieces of debris are crashing down"
- Clip of the lore-finding mechanic "However, I wanted the character to not understand what happened to the world so the player can traverse the world to find pieces of lore to add to the story"
- Clip of me talking "Environmental storytelling and these clips hint to the story and keep the player hooked"
- Clip of Kessler logo animation with coming summer 2023 and my socials at the bottom
During the second week of the Kessler game development project, I created social media pages for marketing purposes, including an Instagram account, an itch.io page, a Tumblr account, and a domain for the games website. I also planned out the documentary I need to create to showcase my game. The documentary will address the issue of space debris and the Kessler syndrome
